Ichiran Shibuya Location ①: Ichiran Shibuya Store (Modi Front)
The “Ichiran Shibuya Store” is the closest Ichiran branch to Shibuya Station, conveniently located just about 2 minutes’ walk from the Hachiko Statue, right in front of Shibuya Modi.
Despite passing this area countless times, I (Shibutama) hadn’t noticed this Ichiran branch for a long time. Perhaps it’s because the store is located underground. I must have walked past it over a hundred times without realizing it! The intersection in front of Modi is always so crowded that it’s hard to look around, isn’t it?
Ichiran Shibuya Store is Open 24 Hours!
The most impressive feature of this branch is its 24/7 operation. While Ichiran stores generally have long business hours, the Shibuya Store truly operates around the clock.
Recently, both Shibuya branches tend to be crowded at almost any time of day. You might find it hard to get a seat without waiting in line unless it’s past 1 AM (after the last train).

Ichiran Shibuya Access Guide: Summary & Final Thoughts
Shibuya is home to two Ichiran Ramen branches: one near Modi and another on Spain Slope. It’s incredibly convenient that both locations operate 24/7, offering a warm bowl of Tonkotsu ramen at any hour. However, be prepared for crowds! Due to the high number of international tourists, queues are almost constant, and you might need to wait 30 minutes or more, depending on the time of day.
I (Shibutama) recently had Ichiran for the first time in about 10 years, and the taste hadn’t changed at all. While the unchanging, traditional flavor might feel a bit behind compared to the highly evolved ramen of today, the consistency is also something truly valuable, isn’t it? I think I’ll try it again in another 10 years or so! That’s all from Shibutama!
