Shibuya’s Daiso is on the 1st Floor of Mark City
Shibuya’s Daiso is on the 1st floor of Mark City, but if you’re coming from the JR side, it’s on the back side and somewhat in a semi-basement location, so it might be tricky to find if you don’t know where it is. It’s actually directly beneath the Inokashira Line platform, which can also make it hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area. But don’t worry, it’s close! Let’s look at the directions from each train line.
How to Get to Daiso Shibuya Mark City Store from Shibuya Station ① JR Lines
First, here’s how to get there from JR lines. It’s about a 2-minute walk from the “Hachiko Exit.”
- After exiting the Hachiko Exit gate at JR Shibuya Station, turn left and go out through the “Hachiko Exit.”
- The Scramble Crossing will be to your front right, but do not cross it. Instead, turn left behind the Hachiko statue.
- There’s a crosswalk immediately to your right. Cross it, and Shibuya Mark City will be directly in front of you. However, do not enter the building there. Instead, proceed to the back side by going left.
- Walk alongside the Mark City building. You’ll soon pass a 7-Eleven on your left. Continue past it and the T-junction immediately after, going further in.
- At the next intersection (there’s a “Yakitori Unagi restaurant” on the corner diagonally to your front left), Daiso Shibuya Mark City Store will be in a semi-basement-like area diagonally to your front right. If you’re coming from JR, you’ll be approaching the back side of the Mark City building.
How to Get to Daiso Shibuya Mark City Store from Shibuya Station ② Hanzomon Line / Den-en-toshi Line
The Hanzomon Line and Den-en-toshi Line operate directly through Shibuya, so you’ll arrive on the same platform. Since you’re coming from underground, it might be a bit confusing, but aim for “Exit A5.” It takes about 3 to 4 minutes to walk to Daiso Shibuya Mark City Store from the Hanzomon Line/Den-en-toshi Line.
- First, exit from the “Hachiko Gate.”
- After exiting the gate, proceed straight ahead. There will be an escalator slightly to your left at the end of the passage, marked with a yellow sign for “Exits A4/A5.” Take that escalator up.
- After getting off the escalator, immediately turn left and enter the narrow passage at the end.
- At the end of that passage, turn left, and there’s a staircase for Exit A5 immediately to your right. Take that to ground level.
- Once on the ground level, there’s a crosswalk directly in front of you. Cross it, and the Mark City entrance will be to your right.
From the Hanzomon Line & Den-en-toshi Line, the first key point is to exit the Hachiko Gate and aim for Exit A5. Make sure to confirm your direction as you go.
How to Get to Daiso Shibuya Mark City Store from Shibuya Station ③ Toyoko Line / Fukutoshin Line
Shibuya Station for the Toyoko Line and Fukutoshin Line is underground. First, head towards the Den-en-toshi Line platform, then aim for Exit A5. It takes about 5 to 6 minutes to walk to Daiso Shibuya Mark City Store.
- From the platform, find the sign that says “DT Den-en-toshi Line H Hanzomon Line” and follow the directions to take the escalator up one floor. (Other lines like JR and Ginza Line are also in the same direction.)
- After getting off the escalator, follow the signs for “DT Den-en-toshi Line H Hanzomon Line.”
- Walk for about 1 minute, and you’ll find an escalator marked “DT Den-en-toshi Line H Hanzomon Line.” Take that downwards to reach the Den-en-toshi Line platform.
- Continue straight along the platform, and you’ll find an escalator with signs for JR lines, Ginza Line, and Hachiko Exit. Take that escalator upwards.
- After getting off the escalator, you’ll be on the ticket gate level. There’s a “Hachiko Gate” there. Exit from it. (There are two Hachiko Gates; aim to exit from the one towards the Inokashira Line. If you see signs for the Ginza Line, you’re going the wrong way, so turn around.)
- After exiting the gate, proceed straight ahead. There will be an escalator slightly to your left at the end of the passage, marked with a yellow sign for “Exits A4/A5.” Take that escalator up.

From the Toyoko Line, the key point is to first move to the Den-en-toshi Line platform. Then, exit the Hachiko Gate, but be careful as there are two. - There’s an escalator to Mark City diagonally to your front left, but do not use it. Instead, take the escalator to your front right downwards.
- You’ll emerge onto ground level. Turn right, and once you’re on the street, immediately turn right again and walk alongside the Mark City building.
