How to Get to Miyashita Park from Shibuya Station! Which Exit to Use? Access Info from Each Line
Miyashita Park, located right by Shibuya Station along the Yamanote Line, isn’t directly visible from the Hachiko statue, so if you don’t know the way, you might get lost. That’s why “Shibutama” is here to guide you from Shibuya Station to Miyashita Park!
Miyashita Park is About a 3-Minute Walk from Hachiko Square
Miyashita Park is approximately a 3-minute walk from Shibuya’s Hachiko Square. On its rooftop is Miyashita Park (the actual green space), and below are shops, restaurants, and other dining establishments.
The easiest way to get there is from Hachiko Square, so it’s best to aim for Hachiko first. Here’s how to get there from each train line.
How to Get to Miyashita Park from Shibuya Station ① JR Lines
First, let’s cover how to get there from JR lines. Miyashita Park is about a 3-minute walk from the Hachiko Exit.
- After exiting the JR Shibuya Station Hachiko Gate, turn left and go out through the “Hachiko Exit.”
- The Scramble Crossing will be on your front right. Cross the far-right crosswalk.
- Once you’ve crossed the crosswalk, turn right immediately and go under the elevated tracks.
- After passing under the tracks, turn left into the street immediately on your left.
- Walk a short distance, and you’ll see Miyashita Park straight ahead. Miyashita Park is just past “Shibuya Nonbei Yokocho,” a small bar alley.
How to Get to Miyashita Park from Shibuya Station ② Hanzomon Line / Den-en-toshi Line
The Hanzomon Line and Den-en-toshi Line operate directly connected, so you’ll arrive on the same platform. Since you’re coming from underground, it might be a bit confusing, but aim for “Exit A6.”
From the Hanzomon Line and Den-en-toshi Line, it takes about 4-5 minutes to get to Miyashita Park.
- First, exit from the “Hachiko Gate.”
- After exiting the gate, there will be stairs with a yellow sign indicating “Exit A6” diagonally to your front right. Take these stairs up.
- At the top of the stairs, turn right, and you’ll immediately see another set of stairs (Exit A6b). Take these to ground level. You’ll emerge in front of the Starbucks at Hachiko Square.
- Once on the ground level, cross the Scramble Crossing in front of you towards the “Tianjin Ama-Guri” (sweet chestnut) store. (This is the direction under the elevated tracks, to the left of Hachiko.)
- After crossing the crosswalk, go straight and pass under the elevated tracks.
- After passing under the tracks, turn left into the street immediately on your left.
- Walk a short distance, and you’ll see Miyashita Park straight ahead. From the Den-en-toshi Line & Hanzomon Line, the first key point is to exit the Hachiko Gate and aim for Exit A6. Make sure to double-check as you go.
How to Get to Miyashita Park from Shibuya Station ③ Toyoko Line / Fukutoshin Line
Shibuya Station for the Toyoko Line and Fukutoshin Line is underground. First, head to the Den-en-toshi Line platform, then aim for Exit A6. It takes about 5-6 minutes to get to Miyashita Park.
- From the platform, find the sign that says “DT Den-en-toshi Line H Hanzomon Line” and follow the directions to take the escalator up. (Other lines like JR and Ginza Line are also in the same direction.)
- After getting off the escalator, follow the signs for “DT Den-en-toshi Line H Hanzomon Line.”
- Walk for about a minute, and you’ll find an escalator marked “DT Den-en-toshi Line H Hanzomon Line.” Take this up, and you’ll arrive at the Den-en-toshi Line platform.
- Continue straight along the platform, and you’ll find an escalator with signs for JR lines, Ginza Line, and Hachiko Exit. Take this escalator up.
- After getting off the escalator, the “Hachiko Gate” will be diagonally behind you to the right. Exit from there.
- Once you’ve exited the gate, there will be stairs with a yellow sign indicating “Exit A6” diagonally to your front right. Take these stairs up.
- At the top of the stairs, turn right, and you’ll immediately see another set of stairs (Exit A6).
- After passing under the tracks, turn left into the street immediately on your left, which leads into Shibuya Nonbei Yokocho. From the Toyoko Line, the key is to first move to the Den-en-toshi Line platform. Then, exit the Hachiko Gate and aim for Exit A6.
How to Get to Miyashita Park from Shibuya Station ④ Inokashira Line
From the Keio Inokashira Line’s Shibuya Station, going via the Scramble Crossing is easiest. It takes about 6-7 minutes to get to Miyashita Park from the Inokashira Line.
- Exit from the “Central Gate” of the Inokashira Line.
- Immediately after exiting, there will be an escalator diagonally to your front left. Take this down.
- After getting off the escalator, you’ll be on the ground level. Turn left and walk straight.
- Walk a short distance, and you’ll see the Scramble Crossing straight ahead. Cross the far-right crosswalk.
- Once you’ve crossed the crosswalk, turn right immediately and go under the elevated tracks.
- After passing under the tracks, turn left into the street immediately on your left, which leads into Shibuya Nonbei Yokocho. From the Inokashira Line, it’s simple as long as you don’t miss the way down to ground level. First, aim for the Scramble Crossing.
How to Get to Miyashita Park from Shibuya Station ⑤ Ginza Line
From the Ginza Line, use the Shibuya Scramble Square Exit. It takes about 3-4 minutes to get to Miyashita Park from the Ginza Line.
- The most important thing first is to exit from the “Shibuya Scramble Square Exit.” Double-check, as there’s also an exit in the opposite direction.
- After exiting the gate, there will be ticket machines to your left, but go through the passage immediately to the right of those machines.
- Immediately turn left and proceed straight along the path.
- After walking for about 30 seconds, you’ll see an escalator. Take this down.
- After getting off the escalator, you’re still on the 2nd floor. It might be confusing for a moment, but there’s another escalator immediately to your right going down. Take that to ground level.
- Once you’re on the ground level, immediately turn right.
- Walk a short distance, and you’ll see the “Miyamasu-zaka Shita Crossing” straight ahead. Cross the pedestrian crossing towards Bic Camera.
- After crossing the signal, Bic Camera will be immediately on your left. Pass it and continue straight.
- Walk for a while, and you’ll reach a traffic light intersection called “Miyashita Park Crossing.” Miyashita Park will be on your front left at that intersection. For the Ginza Line, make sure you don’t choose the wrong exit.
