Shibuya Station’s C2 Exit is Right in Front of Shibuya Stream
Shibuya Station’s C2 Exit is located on Tamagawa-dori after crossing Miyamasu-zaka-shita intersection, heading in the opposite direction from Harajuku (toward Ebisu Station). It is directly in front of Shibuya Stream.
Its primary use is for those heading to Shibuya Stream or toward Ebisu Station from Shibuya Station. This exit was formerly known as Exit 16b.

Here are the main spots you can reach from Shibuya Station’s C2 Exit:
- Shibuya Stream
- Shibuya Station Shin-minamiguchi (New South Exit)

- Ebisu Station

Directions to C2 Exit from Hachiko Square
It’s easier to get there above ground rather than underground from Hachiko Square.
- From Hachiko Square, turn right toward the scramble crossing and enter the JR Shibuya Station “Hachiko Exit” right next to the police box.
- Once inside the Hachiko Exit, go straight through and exit from the “Miyamasu-zaka Exit” on the opposite side.
- Once you’re outside the Miyamasu-zaka Exit, turn right and continue straight.
- You’ll see “Shibuya Scramble Square” in front of you. Go around it by proceeding from the left side.
- You’ll see a large pedestrian bridge ahead. Walk up onto it.
- Once you’re on the bridge, Shibuya Stream will be diagonally to your right. Head toward it.
- At the entrance of Shibuya Stream, there’s a downward-leading escalator. Take it down, and you’ll be at the C2 Exit.
It’s about a 5-minute walk from Hachiko Square to the C2 Exit.
Directions to C2 Exit from JR Shibuya Station
For those coming from JR lines like the Yamanote Line, the C2 Exit is only a few minutes’ walk from the “Miyamasu-zaka Exit.” It’s easier to get there above ground.
- Exit the JR Shibuya Station Hachiko Exit ticket gate and go out through the “Miyamasu-zaka Exit.”
- Once you’re outside the Miyamasu-zaka Exit, turn right and continue straight.
- You’ll see “Shibuya Scramble Square” in front of you. Go around it by proceeding from the left side.
- You’ll see a large pedestrian bridge ahead. Walk up onto it.
- Once you’re on the bridge, Shibuya Stream will be diagonally to your right. Head toward it.
- At the entrance of Shibuya Stream, there’s a downward-leading escalator. Take it down, and you’ll be at the C2 Exit.
Just remember to turn right after exiting the Miyamasu-zaka Exit and avoid entering Shibuya Scramble Square.
Directions to C2 Exit from Hanzomon/Den-en-toshi Line at Shibuya Station
Since the Hanzomon and Den-en-toshi lines are connected, they arrive on the same platform. First, head toward the Hikarie 1 Ticket Gate.
- First, exit through the Hikarie 1 Ticket Gate.
- Once you’re through the gate, take the passage to the right of the ticket gates in front of you.
- At the end of the passage, turn left, then immediately turn right and follow the path.
- Keep going until you reach a dead end, and then turn right. The path splits left and right here.
- If you continue straight, you’ll reach an elevator at the end. Turn left there, and you will find the C2 Exit.
It’s about a few minutes’ walk from the ticket gate to the C2 Exit.
Directions to C2 Exit from Toyoko/Fukutoshin Line at Shibuya Station
The Toyoko and Fukutoshin lines are located underground. First, head toward the Hikarie 1 Ticket Gate.
- First, exit through the Hikarie 1 Ticket Gate.
- Once you’re through the gate, take the passage to the right of the ticket gates in front of you.
- At the end of the passage, turn left, then immediately turn right and follow the path.
- Keep going until you reach a dead end, and then turn right. The path splits left and right here.
- If you continue straight, you’ll reach an elevator at the end. Turn left there, and you will find the C2 Exit.
It’s about a few minutes’ walk from the ticket gate to the C2 Exit.
Directions to C2 Exit from Inokashira Line at Shibuya Station
It’s easier to get there above ground rather than underground from the Inokashira Line. Since the C2 Exit is a bit far, the walk takes about 10 minutes.
- Exit through the Chuo-guchi (Central Exit) ticket gate of the Inokashira Line.
- Immediately to your left, there will be an escalator. Take it down.
- Once you’re on the ground floor, turn left and proceed.
- Walk a bit, and you’ll see the scramble crossing in front of you, with the Hachiko Square just before it.
- From Hachiko Square, turn right toward the scramble crossing and enter the JR Shibuya Station “Hachiko Exit” right next to the police box.
- Once inside the Hachiko Exit, go straight through and exit from the “Miyamasu-zaka Exit” on the opposite side.
- Once you’re outside the Miyamasu-zaka Exit, turn right and continue straight.
- You’ll see “Shibuya Scramble Square” in front of you. Go around it by proceeding from the left side.
- You’ll see a large pedestrian bridge ahead. Walk up onto it.
- Once you’re on the bridge, Shibuya Stream will be diagonally to your right. Head toward it.
- At the entrance of Shibuya Stream, there’s a downward-leading escalator. Take it down, and you’ll be at the C2 Exit.
This route circles around Shibuya Station, which is why it takes a little longer.
Directions to C2 Exit from Ginza Line at Shibuya Station
From the Ginza Line, use the Meiji-dori Side Ticket Gate. It’s easier to get there above ground. The walk takes about 3-4 minutes from the Ginza Line platform.
- From the Ginza Line platform, exit through the Meiji-dori Side Ticket Gate.
- After exiting the gate, take the escalator down and go outside.
- Once outside, immediately turn left and proceed.
- You’ll hit a large street. Go up the pedestrian bridge in front of you.
- Continue straight on the bridge. You’ll see an elevator labeled “31.” Turn right there.
- Shibuya Stream will be in front of you. Head toward it.
- At the entrance of Shibuya Stream, there’s a downward-leading escalator. Take it down, and you’ll be at the C2 Exit.

Shibuya Station’s C2 Exit leads directly to Shibuya Stream and isn’t far from the station. However, from the Inokashira Line, it’s on the opposite side of JR Shibuya Station, so the walk takes about 10 minutes.
