Shibuya Station’s B1 Exit is directly connected to the “Shibuya Metro Plaza” building, located at the corner of Miyashita Park Intersection, where Miyashita Park stands.

Its primary purpose is to serve as an underground exit when heading from Shibuya Station towards Harajuku, Omotesando, or Cat Street.

How to Get to B1 Exit from Hachiko Exit

First, let’s look at how to get to B1 Exit from Hachiko Exit.

  1. From the Hachiko Exit, cross the leftmost crosswalk of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing.
  2. After crossing, immediately turn right and go under the elevated railway tracks.
  3. After passing under the tracks and walking a bit, you’ll reach a large intersection with traffic lights called “Miyamasuzaka-shita Intersection.”
  4. Cross the Miyamasuzaka-shita Intersection straight ahead. Once you cross, turn left and continue walking.
  5. Walk for a while, and you’ll reach the next intersection with traffic lights, “Miyashita Park Intersection.” Turn right there, and the “B1 Exit” is in the entrance of the building immediately to your right. It’s on the backside of the building at the corner of the intersection.

How to Get to B1 Exit from JR Shibuya Station

First, let’s cover how to get there from JR lines like the Yamanote Line. It takes about 5 minutes on foot from the “Miyamasuzaka Exit” to the B1 Exit. It’s difficult to go underground, so let’s go above ground.

  1. Exit JR Shibuya Station from the Hachiko Exit ticket gate, and then exit outside from the “Miyamasuzaka Exit.”
  2. Head towards the “Miyamasuzaka-shita Intersection,” which is in front and slightly to your left.
  3. At Miyamasuzaka-shita Intersection, first cross towards the “Resona Bank” side (it’s to your front right).
  4. After crossing that crosswalk, cross the next crosswalk to your left and continue straight ahead.
  5. Walk for a while, and you’ll reach the next intersection with traffic lights, “Miyashita Park Intersection.” Turn right there, and the “B1 Exit” is in the entrance of the building immediately to your right. It’s on the backside of the building at the corner of the intersection.

How to Get to B1 Exit from Hanzomon Line / Den-en-toshi Line Shibuya Station

Since the Hanzomon Line and Den-en-toshi Line are directly connected, you’ll arrive on the same platform. First, aim for the “Miyamasuzaka East Gate.”

  1. First, exit from the “Miyamasuzaka East Gate.”
  2. After exiting the gate, turn left and proceed.
  3. After walking for a while, you’ll see Exit 20a on your right, but pass it and continue straight.
  4. After proceeding for a few minutes, you’ll find the “B1 Exit” at the very end. It takes about 4-5 minutes on foot from the Hanzomon Line / Den-en-toshi Line to B1 Exit.

How to Get to B1 Exit from Toyoko Line / Fukutoshin Line Shibuya Station

Shibuya Station for the Toyoko Line and Fukutoshin Line is underground. First, aim for the “Miyamasuzaka East Gate.”

  1. First, exit from the “Miyamasuzaka East Gate.”
  2. After exiting the gate, turn left and proceed.
  3. After walking for a while, you’ll see Exit 20a on your right, but pass it and continue straight.
  4. After proceeding for a few minutes, you’ll find the “B1 Exit” at the very end. It takes about 4-5 minutes on foot from the Toyoko Line / Fukutoshin Line to B1 Exit.

How to Get to B1 Exit from Inokashira Line Shibuya Station

From Shibuya Station on the Inokashira Line, it’s easier to go above ground rather than underground. It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the Inokashira Line to B1 Exit.

  1. Exit from the “Central Gate” of the Inokashira Line.
  2. Immediately to your front-left, there’s an escalator; take it down.
  3. After getting off the escalator, you’ll be on the ground level, so turn left.
  4. Walk a short distance, and you’ll see the Shibuya Scramble Crossing in front of you; cross the leftmost crosswalk.
  5. After crossing the crosswalk, immediately turn right and go under the elevated railway tracks.
  6. After passing under the tracks and walking a bit, you’ll reach a large intersection with traffic lights called “Miyamasuzaka-shita Intersection.”
  7. Cross the Miyamasuzaka-shita Intersection straight ahead. Once you cross, turn left and continue walking.
  8. Walk for a while, and you’ll reach the next intersection with traffic lights, “Miyashita Park Intersection.” Turn right there, and the “B1 Exit” is in the entrance of the building immediately to your right. It’s on the backside of the building at the corner of the intersection.

How to Get to B1 Exit from Ginza Line Shibuya Station

From the Ginza Line, use the Scramble Square side ticket gate. It’s easier to go above ground from the Ginza Line rather than underground.

  1. First and foremost, make sure to exit from the “Scramble Square side ticket gate.” There’s also a gate in the opposite direction, so double-check carefully.
  2. After exiting the gate, there will be ticket machines to your left, but immediately to the right of those machines, there’s a passage; go there.
  3. Immediately turn left and proceed straight along the path.
  4. After walking for about 30 seconds, you’ll see an escalator; take it down.
  5. After getting off the escalator, you’ll still be on the 2nd floor. It might be a bit confusing for a moment, but there’s another escalator immediately to your right going down; take that one.
  6. After getting off that escalator, you’ll be on the ground level. Immediately turn right.
  7. Walk a short distance, and you’ll see the “Miyamasuzaka-shita Intersection” in front of you; cross the crosswalk straight ahead to the opposite side of the street.
  8. After crossing that crosswalk, cross the next crosswalk to your right. (You’ll be moving diagonally.)
  9. After crossing the crosswalk again, turn “left.”
  10. Walk for a while, and you’ll reach the next intersection with traffic lights, “Miyashita Park Intersection.” Turn right there, and the “B1 Exit” is in the entrance of the building immediately to your right.

Shibuya Station’s B1 Exit is the closest exit to Harajuku Station among Shibuya’s exits, and it’s quite a distance from all lines, taking 5 minutes or more even from Hachiko Exit.

Also, if you’re going underground, it’s difficult to understand the way unless you exit from the “Miyamasuzaka East Gate.” If you accidentally exit from another gate, it might be better to go above ground first.
